I recently had a response from one of our listeners who said … “Who really are you, Ace Lundon!  Just when I think I have an idea, you say things which blow me away.  You are an enigma!”.

Well, after I looked up the definition of “enigma”, I thought I’d better answer because I don’t seem mysterious to me.  Like Popeye always said – “I yam what I yam”.   I am who I have been becoming … and with over 70 years under my ever enlarging waistline, I have become a lot of things over the years.  I’d like to simply think that I am an old soul with a youthful mind who is presently residing in a temporary home .. which is becoming quite wrinkled!!  Nothing mysterious about that!

The listener also told me that I didn’t seem “gay” to him, so I better clear this up now also.  He was probably thinking of the stereotypical image of a “gay” person … and I am here to tell everyone now that that little group of “gays” is a very small percentage of the “gay” population.  Being “gay” is not an exterior thing, it is the very core of who we are … just as it is with a heterosexual person.  We are what we are!  99.5% of of us probably can’t do the limp wrist thing as well as many straight persons and we also can’t lisp unless our false plate slips!

He then continued by asking why I call my co-host, Lance Helms, “Lancelot” as that does sound “gay”.  And I couldn’t help but laugh and think that maybe I at least got to one base with my gay image.  I call him Lancelot because he is my young Knight in shining armor on the Show.  He is a lover of all people and cares very deeply about the welfare of others … gay or straight.  That makes him a Knight and I trust he will also protect me from making too many errors on the Shows.
